The League Treatment Center is seeking Clinical Psychologists to provide clinical services to students at the Joan Fenichel Therapeutic Nursery (JFTN) and the League School.
The Joan Fenichel Therapeutic Nursery (JFTN) provides services to children ages 2 years 9 months - 5 years old. The League School is a school-based Day Treatment program for students ages 5-21 with psychiatric disorders who may also have learning difficulties.
Principal responsibilities for Clinical Psychologist at the League School include:
- Providing individual, group and milieu therapy treatment
- Meeting and working with the parents of students to back up the school’s program and provide information about parenting techniques
- Supporting and implementing students’ behavior plans
- Working closely with other school staff to reinforce expectations for all students to ensure goal-directed and collaborative care
- Monitoring overall service delivery to students to ensure coordination and continuity
Principal responsibilities for Treatment Coordinator in JFTN preschool program include:
- Working as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team which includes special educators, psychologists, social workers, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, psychiatrists and nurses
- Providing individual and group verbal therapy, family support and psychoeducation and case management, delivers treatment in the milieu, and participates in crisis intervention
- Working from a trauma-informed, attachment-based lens, and may have experience with behavior modification, DIR Floortime, performing Functional Behavior Analyses and creating Behavior Intervention Plans
- Physical intervention such as playing, holding and lifting children
- Comprehensive documentation including psychological and/or social history evaluations and updates
- Facilitating social-emotional groups, provide consultation with classrooms, family therapy, parent training, case management, and play therapy.
Qualifications:
- Psy D/ PhD in Psychology with experience working with seriously emotionally disturbed children
- Knowledge of family dynamics and psychiatric diagnoses
- Able to write clear clinical documentation, including treatment plans, clinical notes and annual reports in a timely manner
- Knowledge and experience with CBT/ DBT is preferred

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
